Parents visit Part II

Its been a long long time since my last blog. Been busy for the past weekends especially the weekends where my parents came for Baby Ian's full moon party. Yes. Finally..Lil baby Ian's full moon reached. My brother had organised a buffet at home by inviting his previous collegues in for the full moon party. As we are not knowing about his colleagues and relatives from my sis in law's side, my parents, weng and I sitting there and taken photos with the lil baby.

You can see how happy a grandmother when she was looking at her lil grandson!

This was the first time for me carrying him!
Sleeping soundly!

=)

As usual, red eggs for baby full moon =)

Round 2: Dinner at Peach Garden in Thomson Plaza

After our dinner, we headed to Casino in Marina Bay Sands. My parents have been asking me to bring them to get there as I'm the only person entering without paying S$100( Im not a PR nor a Singaporean). We took circle line and aligned at Promenade. ( Thanks for Lili's guidance) and we walked all the way from the mrt station to get there by passing through the pedestrian walk. Along the way, we can see the lighting from Helix Bridge. We are unable to cross into Helix Bridge. Guess it must be under some small renovations. Here are some pics taken along the way to MBS.

Finally, we have reached there. As weng is a PR so he has to wait us outside and I brought my parents go in to the casino. We have to pass through a tight securities before we were able to enter in the casino. My dad was being told by his friends that the casino in MBS looks small as compared to the one in Genting. I can tell you that they were wrong. By the time you enter into the casino you will feel like "wow" its really awesome. I guess MBS really did a good job! It was so spacious as compared Genting. The designs looks elegant, you will feel like it looks like Las Vegas Casino where normally you will see it from TV!Unfortunately, no camera is allowed out there, otherwise, I will be able to prove to you guys how awesome it is! There were total 4 floors where the 1st and 2nd floor were meant for those normal gambler, 3rd and 4th floors were for those VIP guess where they have their own rooms! In addition, there were bands playing music in first floor. My parents and I walked through the floors and they decided to sit down and play the slot machines and has lossed few dollars! They said at least when people asked, at least they can tell them they had gambled in MBS.duh!

After we came out from Casino, we walked over to The shoppes. Just realising that the shops still opening at 11 plus. There are still lots of the shops yet to be opened. Guess it will take few months time before all the shops are opened. You can see that along the way, there was a small river in between the shops whereby you have to walk across by using the small bridge link between them. It looks like you are in Venice!

The next day weng and I accompany both my parents and my aunty to shop around in Vivocity and guess what? My mum was crazy in DAISO!! can you image she has bought about $66 dollars stuffs in DAISO where each of the item cost $2 ONLY!!! This is the picture taken when we were at the top floor in Vivo!

Sophie Kinsella

Im not sure whether have you all heard about this lady, named Sophie Kinsella. She was one of the writer who being listed in UK bestsellers for her first novel under Shopapholic series. It was then came to the big screen in 2009 with the hit to the movie, Confessions of Shopaholic.

I came to know about this writer when I saw my ex-colleague Wani. I always see her carrying one book with her with the title Shopaholic. I was attracted by the book title and borrowed it from her. It was like ages ago I did not even read a novel after I have graduated from secondary school. Surprisingly I was able to finish the whole book. Ever since then I was impressed with this writer.

It was so coincidencely when I passed by Popular that day while I was waiting for weng for his hair cut. Once again I saw her novel with other standalone novels which I have never come across. I saw a book from the shelf and I was attracted by this book, this is not referring to Shopaholic but a story about a young lady helped her aunt's spirit to track down a missing necklace simply just cant without. When I was wondering should I buy this book, Weng called and I decided to put back the book. I hope I would have a chance to read this book. =)

Knight and Day

El has came to Singapore for few days after her training in JB. Four of us went for a movie in Shaw House, Orchard. We have heard about this cinema frequently from my brother, however, this is our first time watching movie at there. According to weng, Shaw House was owned by the wealtiest man in Hong Kong. The apperance of the cinema does not look nice as compared to Cathay in Plaza Singapore. Not only that, I felt that even the popcorn was not as delicious as the one we had in Cathay.

KN proposed to watch Karate Kid, however, Weng and I chosen Knight and Day! Ended up KN agreed with us to watch K&D. It was a comedy movie acted by the well-known artist, Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. The story was about a woman accidentally get involved with the international super spy and is forced to flee the country with him while he was protected a new piece of technology. The movie is not as good as expected.

Later, we went for a drink in Coffee Bean. Here are the photos which we had taken after our movie.

Parents visit

It was a tiring week for me. My parents have came to visit their first grandchild, Baby Ian. I feel so bad as I didn't really accompany them. Fortunately, the hotel which they were staying is nearby to my aunt's house, at least there is an accompanion for them.

I knew that they wish to go to casino for this round and as a daughter, I didn't manage to bring them to the place which they wish to go. They kept on mentioed that they doesn't want to go, tired, lazy and blah blah blah...all excuses are coming out from their mouth. Understand that all of these are just an excuses from them. They doesn't want to see their daughter being tired everyday, sleepy and no energy to work. The more they concern about me, the more I felt I'm bad.

Finally they have went back to Ipoh and be back during baby Ian's full moon. will need to plan well for this round.
